The Opportunity

We're looking for a Electrical Engineer, working in the Electric Power & Natural Gas industry in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States.

  • Performs electrical transmission system analysis and protection system studies.
  • Accurately models transmission system topology including lines, generators, and transformers for Medium, High, and Extra High Voltages using ASPEN OneLiner.
  • Performs area protection studies and develops relay settings for existing and new transmission line and station protection schemes.
  • Contribute to development of system-wide protection standards for transmission and distribution station protection, metering, and control applications.
  • Performs activities related to NERC P&C standards.
  • Maintains a valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Travels 5-10% of time ranging from one day to several days at a time.

The pay range we're offering is 36 to 38 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in a program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
  • 2+ years modeling transmission and generation system topology using ASPEN OneLiner for Medium, High, and Extra High Voltages. 
  • 2+ years of working with NERC 693 Compliance Standards 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing/modifying Microsoft VBA based macros/tools or Python programing
  • Demonstrated experience with process improvement including process development implementation and training
