The Opportunity

We're looking for a Billing Clerk, working in the Engineering/Manufacturing industry in The Colony, Texas, United States.

  • Match purchase orders to invoices and enter invoices into computer.
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, scheduling and preparing checks, resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; and ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos.
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements.
  • Enter new or update vendor names and data.
  • Provide accurate and effective document preparation and records management relative to the AP function in accordance with records retention policies and procedures.
  • Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

The pay range we are offering is 15 to 16 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • High school diploma/GED
  • 3-5 years experience preferred in similar role
  • Experience using QuickBooks a MAJOR plus (Enterprise version preferred) – not required
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Accurate typing & 10-key abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person, email, and on the phone
