The Opportunity

We are looking for a Maintenance Operator, working in the Chemicals industry in St Louis, Missouri, United States.

  • Facilitates problem solving and provides direction, technical training and supports to other technicians on the line to improve results.
  • Performs equipment maintenance including grease/lube, monitors, maintains, and replaces key parts and equipment.
  • Directs work activities associated with preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is in peak operating condition. 
  • Analyzes and determines proper corrective action to resolve mechanical and electrical problems on any department equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs machines.
  • Modifies existing and installs new equipment.

The pay range we are offering is 67,000 to 68,000 per year.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • Technical degree is preferred.
  • 5 years of  high-speed packaging mechanical maintenance experience is required.
  • Experience in weld, helliarc, arc, and uses a gas torch are required.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and drawings is required.
  • Proficient in use of test equipment is required.
  • Ability to grasp and lift 40 lbs. from floor to waist and carry up to 100 yards, possibly up or down stairs through shift are required.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk 100% of shift and work on back, overhead, kneel, bend, or push/pull on wrenches (500 ft. lbs. torque) during shift are required.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and other PPE; and pass pulmonary function test are required.
  • Corrective vision and ability to pass the fork truck and elevator-platform lifts certification test are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills including communications, teamwork, problem solving, and decision making are required.
