The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Health Care Analyst, working in the Insurance industry in Southfield, Michigan, United States.

  • Plans, organizes, directs, implements and leads department assignments.
  • Manages and monitors multiple projects simultaneously by establishing project plans and objectives to ensure goal attainment within defined parameters.
  • Leads in the research, analysis, identification and evaluation of data from assigned problems to evaluate existing and potential trends and issues.
  • Conducts data analysis using logistical modeling, understands customers and creates segmentation, identifies issues, understands market landscape, plans and conducts insights and strategic research, forms hypotheses, creates recommendations, and helps to ensure work is insights based and results driven from start to finish.

The pay range we're offering is 48 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Health Care, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field
  • 7+ years experience in Health Care Management and Operations or related field
  • Experience typically in two subject areas (e.g. marketing strategy, financial analysis, planning, health care economics, health care policy, statistical modeling, business decisions, analysis, or business management)
  • Excellent analytical, planning, problem solving, verbal, and written skills to communicate complex ideas
  • Strong working knowledge in MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and all other MS Office Suite tools
  • Strong working knowledge of data languages and programming such as SAS or SQL (Structured Query language)
  • Working knowledge of Tableau (v 9.0 & later) and various Microsoft BI tools
  • Skilled in reporting and data visualization software, with strong presentation skills
