We're looking for a Engineering Technician III, working in the Biotechnology/Medical Devices industry in South San Francisco, California, United States.
Executes and manages parallel process flows involving multiple device builds.
Follows SOPs to manufacture prototype devices and perform tests, analyzes data, and assists in drafting SOPs and test instructions
Maintains and stocks materials as necessary to support device builds and prototype production
Inspects and verifies the process quality standards including documentation and metrology including use of microscopy and metrology equipment.
Works within a laboratory setting handling sensitive small-scale optical and electronic parts and materials.
The pay range we're offering is 30 to 32 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.

Experience Required for Your Success
Background in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of hands-on experience in microelectronic or medical device assembly.
Attention to detail, proactive, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement.
Ability to utilize basic math skills
Ability to read, write, and comprehend English Able to work in a laboratory environment (standing, sitting, stooping) for long periods
Prior experience in medical device microassembly, optics, inspection and electronic evaluation
Experience with microscopy
Ability to track, document and assess process related quality issues
Prior experience in a clean room environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as ability to communicate effectively with scientist and engineers from a wide range of technical backgrounds
Attention to detail, proactive, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement
