We're looking for a Sterile Processing Technician, working in the Biotechnology/Medical Devices industry in Skokie, Illinois, United States.
Utilizes numerous pieces of equipment in the performance of dally duties including but not limited to Cart washer, washer decontaminator, steam gun, ultrasonic cleaner, sterilizers (Steam, Sterrad, Steris 1E, ETO) and computerized instrument tracking system (Impress).
Assembles all case carts for daily and emergent surgeries.
Provides the Operating Room and Ancillary Departments with sterile trays, instrumentation, disposable items needed to ensure a quality product for patient care by executing established procedures for decontamination assembly, packaging, sterilization and surgical case cart set up practices.

Experience Required for Your Success
High school diploma or GED with 2 years SPD/OR experience in surgical instrumentation preferred
Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) preferred or International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) Certification is preferred, but not required
Ability to rotate through all areas of the Sterile Processing Department
Ability to lift, carry, pull, push, sit, walk, stand, kneel, bend, climb repeatedly for extended periods of time, with some sitting
Familiar with appropriate protective measures as outlined in hospital's Infection Control Policies and Procedures
Complete understanding of infection control practices
