The Opportunity

We're looking for an Outside Plant Engineer, working in the Telecommunications industry in San Diego, California, United States.

  • Plans and develops drawings for the construction of new, and removal or rearrangement of existing, overhead or underground lines, cables, and conduits to obtain optimum and economical utilization of communications facilities.
  • Designs work orders for broadband technology and conduit systems.
  • Identifies and designs distribution work orders for relief and modernization of facilities.
  • Analyzes designs of feeder and distribution facilities.

The pay range we are offering is 31 to 46 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • 2-4 years of related experience is required
  • Experience in scheduling, coordinating, managing and tracking multiple construction crews during fiber optic facility installation are required
  • Ability to communicate and works with city inspectors in regards to pre-construction meetings, restoration requirements, etc. are required
