The Opportunity

We're looking for a Maintenance Technician, working in the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Products industry in Round Lake, Illinois, United States.

  • Provide a high level of troubleshooting ability to repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Build and rebuild machine assemblies.
  • Communicate equipment issues and work status to supervision, manufacturing, and management per the plant’s Stop and Fix guidelines.
  • Initiate work orders using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Perform PM work and is required to maintain equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure proper and timely completion of related documentation.
  • Note in CMMS or other downtime tracking method any problems, breakdowns or alarms related to all equipment.
  • Initiate a work order, and additional documentation required to resolve the issue.
  • Review equipment trends related to the issues and support efforts to eliminate reoccurring problems.
  • Learn to handle robots in all normal production modes, troubleshoot and identify problems related to robots, machine output and quality defects as they occur.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with 3-5+ years manufacturing systems experience, or Associates degree with 2+ years of manufacturing systems experience, or BS degree with 1 year manufacturing systems experience
  • Technical certifications preferred
  • Must not be allergic to Penicillin or Cephalosporins
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Experience with Maximo preferred
  • Ability to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams, knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics preferred
