We are looking for a Scientist II, working in the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Products industry in Ridgefield, Connecticut, United States.
Performs essential protein expression experiments using suspension CHO cells for the creation of new biotherapeutic drugs.
Titers determination and western blot analysis as needed.
Design, Analysis and Electronic Documentation of experiments.
Effectively communicates results in project and technical meetings.
Implements new technologies in the areas of antibody expression from mammalian host systems.
Contributes to lab organization, reagent tracking and group administration.
Compliance with all applicable regulations; Ensures that work performed is conducted in a safe and compliant manner; Maintenance of proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies.
Under supervision, plans and executes experiments, interprets the results and propose next steps.
Presents results in group meetings.
The pay range we are offering is 30 to 36 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.

Experience Required for Your Success
Knowledge of immunoglobulin structure and function
Hands-on experience in suspension CHO cell culture
Previous experience with antibody expression desirable
Solid background in cell biology, molecular biology or biotechnology
Ability to work within a highly collaborative team environment and multi task
Independent thinking and ability to generate novel ideas and concepts
Ability to plan and conduct laboratory experiments and evaluate and interpret data
Experience with automation / automated system is plus
Written and verbal communication skills
