The Opportunity

We're looking for a Scientist II, working in the Biotechnology/Medical Devices industry in Pleasanton, California, United States.

  • Operates different genomics analysis technologies such as microarrays, real time PCR and ancillary equipment for quality control and validation.
  • Develops, validates and applies methods for various genomics methods mainly focused on sequencing.
  • Performs nucleic acid isolation and quantification, PCR amplification, library preparation and plate normalizations.
  • Collaborates with R&D to transfer new assays and methods to automation platforms.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • Masters or Bachelors degree
  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Experience in next-generation sequencing methods (Exome, whole genome, RNA sequencing)
  • Experience in laboratory automation/liquid handling and microarrays (Affymetrix and Illumina, Real-time PCR)
