The Opportunity

We're looking for a Retention Representative, working in the Electric Power & Natural Gas industry in Plano, Texas, United States.

  • Acts as the primary point of contact for residential and small commercial customers who contacts the Customer Care Center by phone or internet.
  • Interacts with customers and responds to their complaints, inquiries and requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Interacts with Security customers for Security by Reliant, issues service work orders, and analyzes accounts to resolve billing inquiries, negotiates payment options/deposits and provides customers with assistance in obtaining various company products and services.
  • Documents all customer interactions as service tickets in company’s CRM database.
  • Participates in sales of products and services.
  • Promotes the company and the value of its products and services.
  • Interfaces with a wide variety of people both internally and externally in a diplomatic manner.
  • Utilizes resources, i.e. computer systems, software programs, training resources and phone equipment.

The pay range we are offering is 16 to 18 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • High school diploma or GED is required (4-year Bachelor’s degree is preferred)
  • 1 year experience working directly with customers in a problem solving or sales capacity is required
  • Experience working in a call center environment is preferred
