The Opportunity

We're looking for a Staff Accountant, working in the Healthcare Systems & Services industry in Newton, Massachusetts, United States.

  • Ensures financial records are maintained in compliance with GAAP and company policies
  • Prepares and posts journal entries for the month-end and quarter-end financial close
  • Reviews the statement of operations for each assigned cost center, records accruals and reclassifications and makes adjustments to journal entries as needed
  • Maintains the general ledger for assigned cost centers
  • Prepares monthly reconciliations and related supporting work papers, for areas such as cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intercompany and accrued liabilities
  • Coordinates and communicates with community leaders on the status of the close, results of financial analysis throughout the month and quarter-end close
  • Maintains and updates fixed assets sub-ledger
  • Assists in supporting the internal and external audit processes
Details

The pay range we are offering is 70,000 to 75,000 per year.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 1 to 3 years Public Accounting experience.
  • Inquisitive and eager to learn, develop and continuously improve within a large team setting
  • Accounting operations and/or public accounting audit experience
  • Mid-size to large SEC registrants
