The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Superintendent, working in the Real Estate industry in Long Island City, New York, United States.

  • Provides leadership to the Project team through planning, problem solving, communication and diligent follow-up.
  • Manages labor relations of all subcontractors and labor staff.
  • Coordinates the activities of all trades to achieve the project quality and schedule requirements.
  • Enforces contract terms and requirements on all subcontractors.
  • Executes Quality Control processes.
  • Coordinates special inspection in a timely manner.
  • Establishes and maintains a safe worksite at all times in compliance with all applicable laws pertaining to construction sites.
  • Manages all logistics for the jobsite including deliveries, material storage, security, protection of the public, and DOT plans.
  • Interfaces with DOB, FDNY, and governmental Agency inspectors when site visits occur.
  • Manages and maintains project schedule.
  • Maintains daily logs.
  • Leads weekly subcontractor trade meetings.
  • Communicates with project team, design teams and different owners.
  • Works closely with project management staff.
  • Assists with scopes of work and bid package reviews in support of estimating and project procurement.
  • Manages and reviews ticket work.
  • Organizes and maintains permit logs and tracks inspections to ensure proper close out.
  • Coordinates warrantee inspection and provides tracking.

The pay range we are offering is 150,000 to 220,000 per year.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • A degree in an Architecture/Engineering/Construction Management is preferred
  • 7+ years in New York City construction superintendent experience
  • Valid DOB NYC Superintendent’s License
  • Broad experience based technical knowledge of construction means and methods
  • Requisite working knowledge of Statutes and Codes Proficiency with Construction Management software (Procore, Microsoft project, etc.)
  • Must reside or within a commutable distance to the New York office and must be willing to travel to job sites
