We're looking for a Designer, working in the Electric Power & Natural Gas industry in La Crosse, Wisconsin, United States.
Designs facilities for new and existing customers according to the company's delivery services construction standards and interpret administrative instructions for consistent and cost effective designs.
Provides distribution design project management for the least complex areas of design.
Generates of additional company revenue through contacts with new business or existing customers.
Manages projects from initial customer contact through post project analysis.
Establishes and manages the construction work plan with construction forces in order to meet the customers' schedule and design requirements as well as financial and budgetary requirements.
Obtains permits and easements for facilities in accordance with city ordinances, state, federal, and county agencies as required.
Executes contracts and agreements in compliance with administrative instructions and regulatory requirements.
Promotes a safe work environment and design a safe operating system while providing premier customer service.
Supports and promotes the company's safety programs, including monitoring public safety around the company's delivery facilities.
Represents the company with government officials, contractors, city agencies, vendors, architects, and engineers to provide service to customers.
Supports electric distribution design activities including but not limited to facility replacements, new services, staking, permits, billing, contracts, and locate tickets.

Experience Required for Your Success
Associate degree or higher in a technical field is preferred.
Experience with SAP work management system, GIS/SmallWorld and electric distribution is preferred.
Software applications include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Adobe Professional, Google Earth, and web based applications is preferred.
Demonstrating learning agility, customer service, teamwork, communication, problem solving, and technical aptitude is required.
Driving their personal vehicle to company training sites or customer site locations. is required. The company will provide reimbursement at the IRS rate for mileage.
The pay range we're offering is 28 - 35 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.
