The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Sharepoint Developer, working in the IT (excluding Telecommunication) industry in Herndon, Virginia, United States.

  • Gathers customer requirements for front-end development projects of varying sizes.
  • Develops reusable SharePoint solutions with a focus on flexibility.
  • Maintains existing website features.
  • Conducts cross-browser and quality assurance testing.
  • Liaises with platform engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Supports testing activities for new products and platform updates.
  • Demonstrates products to customers.
  • Assists with content publishing activities.

The pay we are offering is 90 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • Experience with REST API to interact with SharePoint 2013/2016 data.
  • Proficient in being able to extend and customize SharePoint on premises and SharePoint Online
  • Strong experience working with the SharePoint App Dev model.
  • Strong experience integrating HTML 5/CSS 3 elements with SharePoint.
  • Expertise in JavaScript, JQuery, JQuery DOM traversal techniques, Bootstrap, SharePoint Content Query Web Part, and XSLT.
  • Strong skills designing solutions using Out-Of-The-Box (OOTB) SharePoint functionality.
  • Experience developing with SharePoint Designer 2013/2016.
  • Excellent client communication/demo skills required. 
  • Familiarity with Agile Project Management techniques and SCRUM.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 requirements for Federal websites.
  • Must be located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
  • Candidate must be able to pass a DHS Public Trust background investigation.
  • Experience working on large branded websites a plus.
