We're looking for a Embedded Systems Engineer, working in the Automotive & Assembly industry in Grimes, Iowa, United States.

  • Develop and implement software of embedded devices and systems.
  • Develop, code, test, and troubleshoot the system software.
  • Analyze, monitor, and improve efficiency and stability of the system.
  • Support software quality assurance and optimize I/O performance.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject.
  • Minimum seven years total experience in embedded software engineering or similar role.
  • Minimum five years with development and diagnosis of embedded targets.
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux/Windows based environments.
  • Experience with software configuration management tools and defect tracking tools.
  • Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks
  • Solid cloud experience, preferably in AWS/Google cloud.
  • Experience with remote equipment monitoring systems.
  • Experience with automation software Solid scripting skills (bash/Python).
  • Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP).
  • Proven analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Capable of design and development, selection and testing of hardware/software, preparation of specifications, research investigations, and report preparation with support/direction of a higher level engineer.
