We're looking for a Sterile Processing Technician, working in the Healthcare Systems & Services industry in Evanston, Illinois, United States.
Utilizes numerous pieces of equipment in the performance of daily duties including but not limited to cart washer, washer decontaminator, steam gun, ultrasonic cleaner, sterilizers (Steam, Sterrad, Steris 1E, ETO) and computerized instrument tracking system (Impress).
Assembles all case carts for daily and emergent surgeries and include all needed sterile trays and disposable items requested per physician preference.
Provides the Operating Room and Ancillary Departments with sterile trays, instrumentation, disposable items needed to ensure a quality product for patient care by executing established procedures for decontamination assembly, packaging, sterilization and surgical case cart set up practices.

Experience Required for Your Success
Certification is not required but is preferred
Ability to rotate through all areas of the sterile processing department
Ability to lift, carry, pull, push, sit, walk, stand, kneel, bend, climb repeatedly for extended periods of time, with some sitting
Occasional exertion of moderately heavy nature to include stretching, bending, twisting and lifting trays up to 30 pounds while checking supplies
Ability to push/pull to load and unload racks into/out of sterilizers up to 300 pounds
