The Opportunity

We're looking for a Sourcing Specialist, working in the Electric Power & Natural Gas industry in Denver, Colorado, United States.

  • Identifies and vets potential vendors. 
  • Negotiates price and terms for services, materials, equipment, and/or supplies from vendors. 
  • Formalizes agreements according to company policy. 
  • Monitors vendor compliance with contract terms and product or service specifications. 
  • Identifies and realizes opportunities for cost reduction. 
  • Participates in internal control processes. 
  • Provides leadership and direction for large, complex projects. 
  • Develops negotiation strategies and leads negotiations with suppliers representing all internal stakeholders. 
  • Executes contracts and monitors supplier performance to optimize project success. 
  • Engages internal business area partners in integrated demand planning activities. 
  • Mentors, coaches and oversees development of associate sourcing project specialists.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, Finance or equivalent is required.
  • 5 years purchasing, sourcing, or logistics experience is required.
  • Significant contract knowledge, negotiation, Project Management skills is required.
  • Considerable knowledge and expertise in sourcing and supply chain management principles is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite is required.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.

The pay range we're offering is 26 - 32 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.
