The Opportunity

We're looking for a Java Developer, working in the IT (excluding Telecommunication) industry in Dallas, Texas, United States.

  • Design, implement and maintain Java application phases.
  • Conduct software analysis, programming, testing and debugging.
  • Develop, test, implement and maintain application software.
  • Recommend changes to improve established Java application processes.
  • Develop technical designs for application development.
  • Develop application code for Java programs.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline
  • 5+ years of application development experience, including 5+ years of Java SE experience and 5+ years of Java EE experience
  • Well-versed in software development life cycle methodologies with emphasis on Agile product development including the incorporation of quality assurance & testing techniques
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and UML is preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Java, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle, IBM WebSphere Application Server, Struts, HTML, XML, JavaScript, Swing, UNIX/Linux, and object-oriented methodologies
  • In-depth knowledge of the JEE platform and supporting technologies such as JSP, JNDI, JAXP, JMS, JDBC
  • Familiar with Relational Databases such as Oracle or SQL Server
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL preferred
  • Experience consuming Web Services and implementing Web Services
  • Familiar with messaging and SOA technologies
  • Knowledge of general architecture principles
  • Familiarity and/or working experience with Adobe Flex is a plus
  • Experience with .Net/C# a plus
  • Experience with operations research optimization techniques is a plus
  • Experience with in-memory computing and caching solutions (e.g., GigaSpaces XAP) and streams technologies such as IBM Streams is a plus
  • Familiarity with software configuration management/build processes is a plus
