The Opportunity

We're looking for an Inside Sales Representative, working in the Engineering/Manufacturing industry in Chicago, Illinois, United States.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with owned or shared accounts while building trust through exceptional and reliable service
  • Demonstrating a sense of urgency with customer requests
  • Educating customers on products and services
  • Professional cold calling to contractors, distributors and sheet metal shops
  • Maintaining customer contact list and market intelligence data
  • Attending customer or industry events and shows
  • Targeting and converting contractors, distributors and downstream customers
  • Acting as an aid in creating marketing programs for field and customer promotions
  • Providing customer pricing or job quotes (price deviation creation & follow through)
  • Analyzing market pricing and competitive scenarios
  • Utilizing sales reporting tools to identify customer opportunities and track performance
  • Identifying leads and tracks jobs through use of sales tools
  • Participating in business initiatives and projects
  • Gathering and communicating competitive market intelligence
  • Taking initiative to understand company’s product offerings
  • Identifying and communicating competitive threats
  • Communicating and selling value through differentiation

Experience Required for Your Success
  • Has a Bachelor’s degree in Business or any related field.
  • Has 1-2+ years of experience in inside and/or outside sales.
  • Knowledge of the building materials industry that can be leveraged across business unit
