The Opportunity

We're looking for a HEDIS Review Nurse - LVN/LPN, working in the Insurance industry in Chicago, Illinois, United States.

  • Applies structured auditing criteria to abstract medical records, follows defined procedures for saving approved medical record documentation and accurately enters the results of chart audits into the health plans database, Quality Spectrum Hybrid Reporter (QSHR).
  • Abstracts medical record documentation submitted for HEDIS measures, used annually for reporting to National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
  • Maintains productivity level with less than a 5% error rate in record abstraction and data entry on an ongoing basis.
  • Complies with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
  • Maintains complete confidentiality of company related business.

The pay range we are offering is 29 to 30 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • Experience in utilization review, quality assurance, and/or medical record and site review audits
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with unrestricted license in state
  • Chart review experience is required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology standard medical practices, formal quality improvement process, and federal, state, accreditation regulations and standards
