The Opportunity

We're looking for a Communication Specialist, working in the Electric Power & Natural Gas industry in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States.

  • Serves as communications consultant to manage Advertising, Brand and Creative projects to ensure work product is high quality, developed in a timely and cost-efficient manner and on strategy.
  • Supports the business by managing the production of direct mail, collateral, open house materials and website projects.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with key clients based on understanding their business, their goals, their customers and their issues.
  • Works with multiple teams such as the community outreach team, creative services team and print support team to ensure that direct mail and open house materials are developed in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
  • Follows defined workflow process.

The pay range we are offering is 26 to 27 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of account management, project management or direct mail management experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, as well as SharePoint.
  • Experience in producing direct mail and/or communications materials.
  • Ability to work closely with and resolve communications issues with key clients.
  • Ability to build, develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with a work management system (e.g., Workamajig).
  • General understanding of Kanban principles.
