We're looking for a Grant Accountant, working in the Financial Services industry in Carson, California, United States.
Execute reporting and compliance review for government contracts for the Division.
Monitor to ensure all staff with contract billing responsibilities are trained properly, specifically related to billing, reporting and financial compliance.
Provide administrative and other support to finance department relative to government funding, including applications, billing, budgets, reports, audits and close-outs.

The pay range we are offering is 30 to 35 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.

Experience Required for Your Success
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, or similar field from a four-year accredited college or university
5 years experience (minimum) in preparation and compliance management of government grants and contracts
5 years of accounting experience in a nonprofit, government, or similar organization
5 years of government contract audit experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel Spreadsheets
Ability to build a spreadsheet complete with formulas, charts and graphs
Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, reporting and GAAP
Expertise in the following: audit principles and procedures; practices, principles and procedures of general and fund accounting; applicable grant and funding regulations and requirements
Strong written and oral communication skills
