We are looking for a Senior Finance Associate, working in the Financial Services industry in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States.
Completing quarterly closes for assigned funds at various life cycle stages, which includes journal entries through partner allocations and financial statements.
Drafting advisory committee and quarterly reports.
Performing the initial review of the advisory committee and quarterly reports of peers before final review and report distribution.
Assisting with the capital call and distribution process, including partner allocations and drafting of the notices.
Assisting with the quarterly portfolio company valuation process of privately held companies at various life-cycle stages.
Interpreting legal documents to properly account for portfolio company investment, merger and acquisition transactions.
Preparing and distributing various internal and external reporting as needed.
Managing data tracking of portfolio companies within our CRM platform to ensure timely reporting is accurate.
Working with the finance team to improve process efficiency as we recently converted to a new reporting software platform.
Collaborating directly with the VP of Finance and CFO on various ad hoc projects.
The pay range we are offering is 80,000 to 95,000 per year.

Experience Required for Your Success
Bachelor degree with a major in Accounting or Finance is required.
2-4 years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in the venture capital / private equity industries.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills required.
Willingness to learn new skills and fill in where needed by the team.
Ability to work autonomously Attention to detail is critical, with strong accountability and time management skills a must.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, as this role is expected to directly communicate with partners of the firm and portfolio company finance executives..
