The Opportunity

We're looking for an Assistant Property Manager, working in the Real Estate industry in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.

  • Assisting the management team with the day to day operations of a first class commercial office building.
  • Serving as the primary daily contact for customers and managing tenant relations through the coordination of tenant requests and administration of management services.
  • Assisting Property Management in promoting, establishing and maintaining positive relations with the tenants and with the day-to-day operations of the property.
  • Answering and routing phone calls from tenants and vendors to the appropriate contact within
    Property Management and/or dispatch personnel based on immediate needs.
  • Monitoring work orders to ensure all requests are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Following-up with customers to ensure service requests are completed to their satisfaction.
  • Assisting in guiding tenants with move in and move out procedures
  • Maintaining monthly rent roll for tenants and coordinating scheduled charges with accounting.
  • Tracking tenant utility, work order and improvement charges and bill back on monthly basis.
  • Coordinating security card access program.
  • Managing vendor certificates of insurance.
  • Coordinating access for vendors.
  • Preparing lease abstracts and have general understanding of landlord/tenant lease obligations.
  • Managing correspondence related to lease administration, such as certificates of insurance,
    commencement letters and other legal documents.
  • Processing accounts payable, track and reconcile aged delinquencies, contact customers regarding outstanding balances
  • Providing status reports to management team.
  • Reviewing monthly reports to develop knowledge of company accounting practices.

The pay range we are offering is 60,000 to 90,000 per year.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of previous accounting experience preferred.
  • Prior management experience and experience in property and real estate management highly desirable.
  • Proven customer service and problem solving skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to determine needs and achieve results without close supervision.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs to include Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and courteously in challenging situations.
