The Opportunity

We're looking for an AP Specialist, working in the Real Estate industry in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.

  • Processing invoices for properties and corporate
  • Receiving and reviewing all invoices for accuracy and performing data entry while ensuring accurate keying
  • Identifying and resolving exceptions such as previous balances (i.e., misapplied payments, missing invoices, duplicate payments); contacting vendors to obtain additional information or to dispute discrepancies.
  • Communicating with corporate personnel, property managers and vendors about billing status and other AP system-related questions.
  • Receiving calls from Property Managers and providing appropriate resolutions.
  • Communicating daily process to supervisor and requesting assistance when needed.
  • Assisting Senior Property Accountants and Controller in month and year-end closing process.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of business.

The pay range we are offering is 50,000 to 65,000 per year.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of AP experience, real estate experience preferred
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office, Knowledge of MS Excel
  • Results oriented with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve
  • Effective and efficient time management and organization skills 
  • Detail oriented and thorough
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
  • Experience with Buildium and SAGE accounting software a plus
