The Opportunity

We're looking for a Maintenance Mechanic, working in the Light Industrial industry in Benicia, California, United States.

  • Work from approved standard SOP and special procedure.
  • Perform simple or routine maintenance activities based on skills and knowledge attained from training and previous experience.
  • Follow/comply with company safety, rules and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot basic conveyance problems and understand the resources to resolve them.
  • Assemble simple mechanical apparatus from material and parts following instructions.
  • Assist more experienced and higher grades level mechanics with the installation, inspection and maintenance of moderately complex mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic system, and allied equipment.
  • Perform incidental rigging on equipment once trained and qualified.
  • Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
  • Respond to basic service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
  • Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organizations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Maintenance Lead.

The pay we are offering is 19 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent desired
  • Good written and oral communication skills, and mathematical ability
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to communicate and interact with diverse groups or individuals at all organizational levels
  • Thorough understand of all safety requirements
  • Data-driven decision making and the ability to manage priorities and production workflows
  • Adaptability and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
  • Ability to lift and move material up to 50 pounds
  • Willing to work OT as necessary bass on company forecast and customer supply and demand
