The Opportunity

We are looking for a Network Engineer, working in the Telecommunications industry in Auburn Hills, Michigan, United States.

  • Ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives.
  • Maintain data network problem management procedures, network documentation, policies, and configuration information.
  • Work with network monitoring and diagnostic tools to ensure optimal performance of the network.

The pay range we are offering is 25 to 37 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • 5 years of experience with routers, switches, wireless access points, and controllers
  • Experience troubleshooting and configuring routers and switches in a complex enterprise environment
  • Experience on HP network Node manager, Splunk, and Cisco tools a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot all layers of the OSI model a plus including application, server, desktop, VPN, Firewalls, load balancers, mainframe 3270 devices, Intrusion detection, and storage devices
  • Ability to perform sniffer analysis utilizing Netscout and Wireshark tools
  • CCNA preferred with experience on Nortel/Avaya equipment
