The Opportunity

We're looking for a Student Laboratory Technician Internship, working in the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Products industry in Ames, Iowa, United States.

  • Maintains all lab spaces.
  • Stocks supplies in the lab
  • Washes and sterilizes glassware
  • Maintains lab waste
  • Makes reagents and maintains and cleans laboratory equipment.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • Pursuing a bachelors in biology or science field
  • A highly organized self-motivated candidate who has approximately 12-20hr/week of availability and has some experience with laboratory techniques, but we are also willing to consider candidates who have less experience if they are willing to work hard to learn lab responsibilities quickly.
  • Opportunities for doing project-related work on early vaccine research for several viral and bacterial pathogens if candidates are available to stay for 20-40hr/week during the summer.
