The Opportunity

We're looking for a QA Software Developer, working in the IT (excluding Telecommunication) industry in Altha, Florida, United States.

  • Interacts with project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives.
  • Designs and creates test plan and scripts to address use cases.
  • Uses existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and collects test validation report.
  • Executes and analyses test results.
  • Participates in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
  • Documents, tracks, and escalates issues as appropriate, using Quality Centre or similar tools

Experience Required for Your Success
  • B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech/MS in Computer Science, Software Systems, Electronics, Telecommunications or Electrical with at least 6 yrs of relevant experience for M.Tech/MS and 8 yrs of relevant experience for B.E/B.Tech
  • 4-5 years work experience in development and/or testing role
  • 2 years of manual testing mandatory
  • 1 year of automation experience ( would be an added advantage)
  • Exposure in coming out Test cases from Business requirements
  • Conversant to prepare Test Report, Traceability matrix (Test Coverage matrix)
  • Proficient with Robot framework for test automation
  • Good development/scripting skills in any of the common languages like PERL, Python/Shell, groovy scripting etc. (would be an added advantage)
  • Good experience with different Operating Systems, with emphasis on Unix variants
  • Good understanding of Web/App Server – IIS /Tomcat Apache/Jboss.
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of IP networking, protocols such as HTTP and HTTPS, firewalls, routers, etc.
  • Knowledge of automated testing tools, like Rational Robot, Selenium etc. (would be an added advantage)
  • Understanding of DevOps, good hands-on where to enhance an existing pipeline or design a new pipeline as and when needed.
  • Having a detail understanding of CI/CD (would be an added advantage)
  • Certification on DevNet at associate level, SAFe 5.0 (will be preferable)
  • Commendable knowledge on defect tracking tools JIRA/CQ etc.
  • Any kind of ISTQB certification/ SCRUM certification will be a plus
