The Opportunity

Description

We're looking for Cisco Communications Specialist , working in Education industry in New York, New York, 10012, United States.

  • Work with end-user to gather information about current telephone and voice mail programming
  • Analyze and evaluate information to provide an efficient and practical solution
  • Update LDAP with changes to employee telephone numbers
  • Utilize databases to allocate inventory required to complete work orders
  • Coordinate with other IT groups and clients to schedule tasks required to complete both day-to-day and project work, including large moves, migrations, and updates to devices
  • Monitor progress of all tasks to ensure target completion dates are met
  • Perform all programming required to complete moves, adds, and changes in Cisco Communications Manager (Call Manager), and Unity Connection
  • Use Adobe to review and mark floor plans for field technicians
  • Audit completed work orders to ensure that systems, databases, and billing records are correct
  • Work with team to set up, configure and troubleshoot components of Cisco Call Manager and Unity Connection

Experience Required for Your Success

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1+ years of experience
  • Hands-on experience administering and programming Cisco Unity Connection (version 10.5 or higher; 12.5 is preferred)
  • Experience importing subscribers from integrated LDAP
  • Experience with Unity mailbox administration
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (version 10.5 or higher; 12.5 is preferred)
  • Prior experience using the Bulk Administration tool to import and update telephones, users, and directory numbers
  • Experience in administration and support of Cisco IP Telephones and features, including Cisco Jabber
  • Experience in administration of analog service on Voice Gateway
  • Creation of CTI Route Points
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Any prior experience with Unimax 2nd Nature would be a plus
  • Any prior experience with the creation of Call Handlers and Interview Handlers would be a plus
