The Opportunity
Description
We're looking for a Tax Accountant, working in Real Estate industry in Brighton, Massachusetts, United States.- Calculate taxable income and tax basis for all entities in the overall structure (including joint venture partnerships, corporations, REITs and Fund).
- Review federal and state tax returns for all entities in the structure.
- Prepare quarterly and annual REIT compliance testing.
- Calculate extension and quarterly estimated tax payments.
- Calculate E&P for all corporate entities.
- Coordinate delivery of finalized trial balances, schedules and calculations to third party tax preparers.
- Review property activity to identify potential REIT compliance issues.
- Prepare annual 1099-DIV for REIT distributions.
- Prepare state withholding exemption vouchers as needed.
- Review and reconcile depreciation schedules.
- Perform research of relevant tax laws, regulations and rulings to determine the proper tax treatment of issues.
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS, other tax authorities and joint venture partners.
- Maintain depreciation software.
- Coordinate distribution of final deliverables to tax authorities, joint venture partners and internal departments for Fund investors.
- Assist in calculation and review of annual tax provision for corporate entities, including tax footnotes and disclosures.
- Assist in lease analysis and transfer pricing studies for TRS entities.

Experience Required for Your Success
- Bachelor degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
- 3-5 years of tax experience in partnerships
- REIT experience preferred
- Experience with CCH Intelliconnect and BNA Fixed Assetspreferred
