The Opportunity
Description
We're looking for a Coding Compliance Specialist, working in Insurance industry in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States.- Researching and analyzing the medical records when there is a discrepancy in coding
- Validating the coding and supporting the department in the reporting of findings
- Auditing medical records to ensure compliance with the organization's coding procedures and standards according to the CMS Coding Guidelines and official ICD9/ICD10 Coding Guidelines

Experience Required for Your Success
- Associate Degree or 2 years of experience working in the health insurance industry
- National coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA to include one or more of the following: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist Physician (CCS P), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
- 2 years medical coding through medical record abstraction
