The Opportunity

Description

We're looking for a Senior Project Manager, working in Real Estate industry in Quincy, Massachusetts, United States.

  • Administers the construction process in accordance with company policies and procedures including all aspects of scheduling, document control and distribution, budget management, subcontractor management, and field operation support.
  • Works collaboratively with field superintendents to prepare site-specific logistics plans and implements means and methods for construction operations.
  • Supervises assistant project managers, reviews their work and reports, investigates any reported problems and finds solutions so that work meets specifications at all times.
  • Negotiates changes in the scope of work with client and subcontractors.
  • Tracks and manages construction schedules with project superintendent’s review and input to meet deadlines and keep within budget.
  • Reviews relevant documentation such as field time sheets, superintendent’s progress reports, instruction manuals, budgets, site plans and contracts.
  • Manages all reporting requirements in accordance with the contract documents.
  • Works closely with CEO to assess progress and proactively addresses problems and finds solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Trains new employees in company procedures and communicates company values to external constituents: clients, contractors, government agencies, and suppliers.

Experience Required for Your Success

  • 4-year degree preferred in Civil Engineering and/or Construction Management
  • 10 years experience assisting and/or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity
  • Experience on CM at Risk projects a plus
  • Management experience on small and medium-size projects – ranging from 1 to $30 million in total contract value
  • Strong Chapter 149 experience required
  • Strong communication skills to support positive negotiations and present BBB’s capabilities in presentations for new work
  • Extreme attention to detail, from day-to-day inputs on job-sites to review of documents and design plans
  • A goal-oriented attitude that takes personal responsibility for positive outcomes
  • Ability to work under pressure in coordinating multiple tasks and people
