The Opportunity
Description
We're looking for a
Project Assistant, working in
Real Estate industry in
Newton, Massachusetts, United States.
- Generates and tracks project activities, subcontractors, progress, and changes across multiple platforms.
- Coordinates subcontractor activities; ensures timely completion of tasks and escalation of any safety concerns.
- Tracks, organizes and logs all subcontractor documents to include bids, RFIs, purchase orders, submittals, change orders.
- Generates, maintains, and updates project directories.
- Assists with applying for building permits.
- Manages, organizes, and distributes project documents both electronic & hard copies for field & office staff. This includes plans, addenda, bulletins, sketches, RFIs, submittals, safety meetings, etc.
- Attends weekly meetings and generates minutes of the meeting.
- Collects all closeout information and assembles as-built packages (hard & electronic copies).
- Participates in PA Day in the Field program.
- Escalates any concerns, issues or delays relative to project work, subcontractor performance or other activities that may impact project completion.
- Participates in company-sponsored training programs, meetings and seminars.
- Maintains necessary training certifications such as OSHA, CPR, etc.
- Performs other functions as required.

Experience Required for Your Success
- 4-year degree from college or university
- 1-5 years experience as a Project Assistant
- Experience working with project management software (Procore, Timberline, Microsoft projects)
- Experience working with on-screen take-off software
- Experience reviewing construction documents (plans and specs)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required
