The Opportunity

Description

Job description:
  • Execute and manage parallel process flows involving multiple device builds.
  • Follow SOPs to manufacture prototype devices, and perform tests, analyze data, and assist in drafting SOPs and Test Instructions.
  • Maintain and stock materials as necessary to support device builds and prototype production.
  • Detailed inspection and verification of process quality standards including documentation and metrology including use of microscopy and metrology equipment.
  • Hands on work within a laboratory setting handling sensitive small-scale optical and electronic parts and materials.
  • Perform and document in-process quality checks on finished product.
  • Maintain clean room integrity by using proper attire and adherence to clean room environment practices and procedures.
  • Prepare lot history records where necessary.
  • Work with engineers and technicians to resolve line issues and suggest improvements

Experience Required for Your Success

Requirements:
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in microelectronic or medical device assembly
  • Attention to detail, proactive, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement
  • Ability to utilize basic math skills
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
  • Able to work in a laboratory environment (standing, sitting, stooping) for long periods
  • Background in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Requirements:
  • Prior experience in medical device microassembly, optics, inspection and electronic evaluation
  • Experience with microscopy
  • Ability to track, document and assess process related quality issues
  • Prior experience in a clean room environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as ability to communicate effectively with scientist and engineers from a wide range of technical backgrounds
  • Attention to detail, proactive, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement
