The Opportunity
Description
- Execute and manage parallel process flows involving multiple device builds.
- Follow SOPs to manufacture prototype devices, and perform tests, analyze data, and assist in drafting SOPs and Test Instructions.
- Maintain and stock materials as necessary to support device builds and prototype production.
- Detailed inspection and verification of process quality standards including documentation and metrology including use of microscopy and metrology equipment.
- Hands on work within a laboratory setting handling sensitive small-scale optical and electronic parts and materials.
- Perform and document in-process quality checks on finished product.
- Maintain clean room integrity by using proper attire and adherence to clean room environment practices and procedures.
- Prepare lot history records where necessary.
- Work with engineers and technicians to resolve line issues and suggest improvements

Experience Required for Your Success
- 3 years of hands-on experience in microelectronic or medical device assembly
- Attention to detail, proactive, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement
- Ability to utilize basic math skills
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
- Able to work in a laboratory environment (standing, sitting, stooping) for long periods
- Background in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Prior experience in medical device microassembly, optics, inspection and electronic evaluation
- Experience with microscopy
- Ability to track, document and assess process related quality issues
- Prior experience in a clean room environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as ability to communicate effectively with scientist and engineers from a wide range of technical backgrounds
- Attention to detail, proactive, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement
