We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer, working in Biotechnology/Medical Devices industry in 425 W Randolph, Chicago, Illinois, 60606, United States.

Job description:

  • Software development of application or system components
  • Requirements definition and analysis
  • Software design and review
  • Unit testing of developed code
  • Investigation and root cause analysis of software and system defects
  • Maintain and run tools and processes that support and automate software product release
  • Learn and apply software engineering best practices including TDD, BDD, and CI/CD

Experience Required for Your Success


  • Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of software engineering experience
  • Expert coding skills in Java (recent experience in back-end Java desired); Groovy is a plus
  • Experience in developing scalable web services (Dropwizard, Spring, REST)
  • Knowledge and experience with network programming, message exchange standards and systems (Kaffka)
  • Experience in developing/deploying cloud-based application (e.g. AWS)
  • Knowledge of the following is plus: Redis, Cucumber, GO CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux
  • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Excellent team player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment
  • Creative, resourceful and innovative problem solver
  • Great communication skills (including active listening and comprehending requirements)
