The Opportunity

Description

We're looking for a Research Associate I/II, working in Pharmaceuticals and Medical Products industry in 455 Mission Bay Boulevard South, San Francisco, California, 94158, United States.

Job description:
  • Performs research and/or development in collaboration with others for projects.
  • Exercises technical discretion in the execution and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project strategies. Contributes to project process within a scientific discipline.
  • Maintains professional expertise through familiarity with scientific literature.
  • Assists scientists to perform data entry into clinical data base.
  • Manage clinical sample inventory including receipt, login/logout and disposal.
  • Under general supervision, executes on assigned tasks following appropriate technical procedures.
  • Makes detailed observations to identify, report and make correction of any errors related to data and sample inventory.
  • May perform routine equipment maintenance, calibrations, and verifications as per SOP.
  • Maintains accurate and well-organized laboratory records, worksheets and notebooks.
  • Under general supervision, executes on assigned tasks following appropriate laboratory/technical procedures.
  • Maintains compliance to company Environmental Health and Safety policies, procedures and practices.

Experience Required for Your Success

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline is required
  • Equivalent experience may be accepted
  • Previous hands-on practical laboratory experience is preferred
  • Must have a demonstrated working knowledge of scientific principles
  • Must be able to demonstrate good decision-making skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment
  • Must have demonstrated problem solving abilities
  • Good computer skills are required
  • Working knowledge of MS word, Excel, Power point is a plus
  • Experience working in an FDA regulated environment is highly desired
  • Must be willing to work as part of a team and demonstrate good interpersonal skills
