The Opportunity

Description

We're looking for a Research Associate I, working in Biotechnology/Medical Devices industry in 1061-1245 DNA Way,, San Francisco, California, United States.

  • Supports biochemical and cellular characterization of protein therapeutics for immuno-oncology.
  • Develops, validates and executes biochemical and cell-based assays to characterize and screen biologic therapeutics in vitro and ex vivo, to support lead-finding/optimization efforts.
  • Develops and implements pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic assays and quantitating biomarkers.
  • Coordinates with Cancer Immunology, Protein Chemistry, Antibody Engineering, and Translational Oncology groups to advance lead molecules of the projects.

Experience Required for Your Success

Skills:
  • Practical experience in the design, development, validation and execution of biochemical and cell-based assays to characterize protein therapeutics is required
  • Experience with multi-color flow cytometry, T cell functional assays, ELISA assays, culture of mammalian cell lines and primary immune cells is required
  • Experience with dendritic cell differentiation and culture is a plus
  • Experience with microscopy and/or high content image analysis is a plus
  • Familiarity with automated or semi-automated instrumentation, while not required, would be advantageous, as would familiarity with the multi-disciplinary activities of antibody lead profiling
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, time management, and organization skills
