The Opportunity

Description

  • Set up and operate hydrostatic test equipment on piping, tanks, pressure vessels, and other assemblies to verify integrity under pressurized condition.
  • Connect hoses, pumps, valves, and gauges in accordance with engineering drawings and P&IDs
  • Pressurize systems to specified test pressures, closely monitoring gauges and pressure relief devices throughout the test cycle
  • Inspect all joints, welds, and connections for signs of leakage or deformation, using visual methods and leak‑detection fluids as needed
  • Safely depressurize, drain, and dry systems following completion of each test, ensuring no residual pressure remains
  • Accurately record test parameters, durations, and outcomes, then compile detailed reports for engineering and quality teams
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on test equipment to guarantee reliable, repeatable results
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements during every phase of testing
Schedule:
  • 7:30am to 3:00pm (OT available during the week and Saturdays if needed)

Experience Required for Your Success

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience performing hydrostatic or pressure testing in an industrial setting
  • Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API) governing pressure testing procedures
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Excellent attention to detail, with proven ability to accurately record test data and identify anomalies
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, welders, and quality inspectors
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between multiple test sites as required
  • OSHA 10 (or equivalent) certification and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
