The Opportunity
Description
- Empty collected material from containers (cutting bags, dumping gaylords, etc.).
- Manual dumping of boxes from pallets.
- Sort material by grade, separate and discard identified contaminants
- As authorized, perform repairs to equipment as needed to ensure operationally safe when in production
- When authorized, perform daily, weekly and monthly equipment maintenance tasks as directed by the Plant Manager or Supervisor Load and unload vehicles as required and verify accuracy of deliveries and pickups.
- Maintain chain of custody and strict control over incoming and outgoing customer material
- Identify and recommend changes to Plant Manager and/or Destruction Supervisor as needed
- Notify to Plant Manager or Destruction Supervisor when equipment is not operational or there are safety and security concerns
- Communicate obstacles in workplace layout to Plant Manager or Destruction Supervisor, in accordance with 5S Workplace Program
- Assist with training of new staff as needed
- Learn and understand compliance with all OSHA requirements, as well as safety and security procedures – including wearing required uniform and PPEs
- Perform other duties as assigned by Destruction Supervisor or Plant Manager

Experience Required for Your Success
- High school diploma/equivalent or operations/production experience
- Can lift/carry 70–100 lbs; push 300+ lbs wheeled containers
- Can operate PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) and machinery
- Follow safety protocols: gloves, safety glasses, ASTM F2413-11 footwear
- Work in manufacturing environments; may require dust masks/earplugs
- Forklift experience preferred
- Can work between 7am-3:30pm, 5 days a week, 9 hours a day including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
