Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical-Surgical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients before and after surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout their stay.

Responsibilities:

Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.

· Medication Administration: Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications.

· Vital Signs Monitoring: Monitor patients' vital signs and report any adverse reactions to medications promptly.

· Medical Equipment Management: Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed and interpret and record measurements.

· Wound Care: Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.

· Patient Education: Answer questions and educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care.

· Discharge Planning: Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team.

· Record Keeping: Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records using the Epic charting system.

· Adherence to Protocols: Follow best nursing practices, standards, and protocols.

Qualifications:

· Proven work experience as a Medical-Surgical Nurse, 2 years of direct patient care experience strongly preferred.

· In-depth knowledge of best practices in medical-surgical nursing.

· Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities.
