The Opportunity

Description

We're looking for a Facilities Technician, working inEngineering/Manufacturing industry in250 N Route 303 , Congers, New York, 10920, United States.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Regulate or shut down equipment during emergencies or as directed by supervisors.
  • Ensure proper operation of machinery and equipment by:
  • Completing preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer instructions.
  • Troubleshooting malfunctions and evaluating new techniques or equipment.
  • Operate material handling equipment after proper testing and licensing.
  • Coordinate and assist with departmental and employee relocations.
  • Maintain operations by adhering to policies and reporting necessary changes.
  • Document actions through maintenance logs and checklists.
  • Maintain inventory by monitoring stock and requesting needed supplies.
  • Manage construction projects efficiently, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
  • Work closely with outside vendors and contractors to verify work accuracy and completion.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems by observing devices in operation and using precision tools.
  • Perform cleanroom cleaning following proper documentation and schedules.
  • Conduct basic repairs and maintenance in:
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Carpentry
  • HVAC systems
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following company procedures and reporting hazards.
  • Operate company vehicles while adhering to safety, organizational policies, and highway regulations.

Experience Required for Your Success

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical school or related experience is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment.
  • General mechanical, maintenance, and cleaning abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with executives, peers, and team members.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining proper documentation.
  • Experience with material handling equipment and shop tools.
