The Opportunity

Description

We're looking for an Accounting Clerk II , working inOil and Gas industry inHouston, Texas, 77073, United States.

  • Generate and send out invoices to clients in a timely manner.
  • Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Process and apply payments received from clients.
  • Prepare and analyze aging reports to identify delinquent accounts.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update customer files and documentation.
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.

Experience Required for Your Success

  • High School degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
  • Must be local to Houston, TX.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with ERP systems (Visual, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
