The Opportunity

Description

We're looking for an Assembly Technician, working in Telecommunications industry in 5353 West Sam Houston Parkway N, Suite 190 , Houston, Texas, 77041, United States.

    • QA and test units to confirm work has been done according to work instructions.
    • Cut and modify plastic parts.
    • Point-to-point wiring
    • Solder Through-hole and fine-pitch SMT components to PCBA.
    • Assemble and solder small parts.
    • Read and follow ISO9000 work instructions.
    • Work on multiple product types.
    • Escalate issues to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
    • Assist with on-the-job training for new employees.
    • Program firmware into units using a computer.
    • Cut returned
    • Enter completed work into the computer tracking system.
    • Run basic tests to confirm work has been done properly.
    • Open units for refurbishment using rotary tools.
    • Glue units closed using a 2-part methacrylate adhesive.

    Experience Required for Your Success

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 3 years of solder experience with SMT and TH components down to 0402 size
    • 2 years of mechanical assembly experience
    • MS Office including Excel - Required
    • Experience in SMT soldering
    • Experience with flashing firmware
    • Knowledge of soldering to an IPC610 class II standard in SMT and TH soldering
    • Ability to solder Through-hole components and wires
    • Ability to solder SMT components
    • Ability to do basic tasks on a computer
    • Ability to read and understand ISO work instructions
    • Able to work from M-F, 5:30 am-2 pm
