We're looking for a Custodian, working in Real Estate industry in 55 Spruce Street, Newark, New Jersey, 07102, United States.

Wingate Companies is looking for a Custodian for our property in Newark, NJ. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for keeping exteriors, common areas, vacant units, sidewalks and alleyways of property in a clean and safe condition and will assist in other types of basic maintenance, when necessary.

Hourly Rate: $16.00 - $17.00/hour

As a Custodian, you will:

  • Cleans all hallways, stairwells, common areas, elevators, mail box areas, laundry rooms, along with model, corporate and vacant apartments.
  • Cleans all parking areas, sidewalks, and alleyways.
  • Maintains grounds (Lawn care, snow removal, litter clean-up).
  • Attends staff meetings, as required.
  • Attends resident meetings, as required.
  • Assists with miscellaneous social program activities (e.g., set-up, pick-ups, clean-ups, etc.)

Experience Required for Your Success

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Full time janitorial experience
  • Plumbing aptitude
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Familiarity with power, water and gas turnoffs, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers and fires systems
  • Ability to be on call for emergency duty
  • Bilingual
