The Opportunity
Description
We're looking for a Senior Financial Analyst , working in Financial Services industry in Grand Blanc, Michigan, United States.As a Senior Decision Support Analyst, you will provide financial and statistical analysis to assess the corporate financial and operational impacts of management decisions and proposals.
Your Responsibilities as a Senior Financial Analyst:
- Provide analytical operations support using a variety of data sources.
- Analyze and interpret data to provide information for management decisions.
- Analyze data to identify areas of opportunity and develop proposals and strategies for program development and revisions to existing programs.
- Identify cost control and cost management issues and recommend actions to resolve them.
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of a variety of strategic and operational studies and analyses to improve system performance and make recommendations for operational improvements.
- Maintain reporting data integrity by verifying the accuracy of data.
- Provide assistance and support in implementing new systems.
- Work with large sets of data.

Experience Required for Your Success
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, healthcare administration, or related area requiredMaster’s degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration preferred
- 5 years of prior experience in healthcare finance or healthcare financial analysis including experience working with hospital clinical/claim and financial data, working with large databases, cost experience; data extraction and analysis, and the ability to extract data and analyze using a variety of tools including SQL, Access, Excel OR 10years of prior experience in healthcare finance or healthcare financial analysis including experience working with hospital clinical/claim and financial data, working with large databases; data extraction and analysis, and the ability to extract data and analyze using a variety of tools including SQL, Access, Excel (IF YOUR CANDIDATE DOES NOT MEET THE EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT)
- 1 year of experience with healthcare contract management/reimbursement systems and knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies
- Tableau experience
