The Opportunity
Description
We're looking for an IT Asset Specialist , working in IT (excluding Telecommunication) industry in New York, New York, United States.- Direct and implement software related supplier-sourcing strategies to ensure high quality, on time delivery, and cost competitiveness.
- Document results with implementing standard procurement best practices, build strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers, and consult on procurement best practices for cross-functional project teams.
- Utilize RFI (Request for Information), RFP (Request for Proposal), and RFQ (Request for Quote) techniques to identify, select, and engage with suppliers to ensure competitive market advantage.
- Implement proactive procurement philosophies, strategies, policies, procedures, and systems.
Our Client
Experience Required for Your Success
- Experience procuring tech sourcing items (software, telecom, hardware, etc.) for a large Fortune 500 company
- Experience with negotiating contracts for the licensing of software; both SaaS and conventional
- Software procurement experience
- Ability to build and implement effective negotiation strategies, with a strong focus on cost savings and cost avoidance
- Self-starter who is proactive in asking questions and driving results
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with suppliers and executive stakeholders
- Team player who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional partners
- Familiarity with software negotiation strategies and the software supplier landscape
- Experience with PR/PO (Purchase Request/Purchase Order) creation process
- Proficiency in using contract management tools
