The Opportunity
Description
We're looking for a Medical Coder, working in Staffing/Recruiting industry in Ayala Avenue, Makati City, Metro Manila, 1223, Philippines.- Review medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses and procedures.
- Documentation Review:Ensure completeness of medical records for accurate coding and billing.
- Compliance:Follow coding guidelines and regulations to ensure adherence to federal and state laws.
- Auditing and Reporting:Perform regular audits of coded data to maintain accuracy and compliance, and generate necessary reports.
- Communication:Work with healthcare providers and staff to resolve coding discrepancies and clarify information.
- Education and Training:Stay current with changes in coding standards and regulations through ongoing education.
Experience Required for Your Success
- Education:Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Experience:Minimum of 1 year in clinical/hospital setting is required
- Knowledge:In-depth understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
- Skills:Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex medical documentation and coding guidelines.
- Communication:Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Detail-Oriented:Focused on accuracy and precision in documentation review.
- Adaptability:Ability to manage changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Work Environment:Willingness to work onsite and adhere to a fixed night shift schedule.
