The Opportunity
Description
We're looking for a Warehouse Lead, working in Manufacturing industry in Romeoville, Illinois, 60446, United States.- Provide exceptional service and communication to the sales and customer service representatives.
- Receive incoming material, process related paperwork, and create product labels.
- Ship material to customers and outside processing suppliers and process related paperwork.
- Maintain detailed and accurate work records.
- Manage and distribute daily paperwork and any paperwork from internal shipping email.
- Greet drivers and assign them to a dock door.
- Create shipping labels and schedule all shipments.
- Verify that outgoing deliveries meet company quality standards, and that order slips match and have the appropriate signatures.
- Process all Bill of Ladings and obtain all necessary supporting paperwork.
- Schedule delivery of Standard dropped trailers and ensure they are unloaded within 2 days to avoid detention.
- Keep team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives.
- Collaborate with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implements viable ideas.
- Enforce operating instructions and safety policies.
- Store inventory in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Manage inventory on a FIFO schedule.
- Perform physical inventory.
- Keep the warehouses clean and orderly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience Required for Your Success
- At least five years related warehouse lead experience required.
- Reliable, punctual, and mechanical.
- Five or more years of forklift experience.
- Experience processing production and logistic paperwork and using operating software.
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.
- Can lift up to 55 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
